What is Shortcode?

THE HELP! FILES

Some WordPress themes use different features to help display specialized content on your website. An example of this special tag is “shortcode“. This tells WordPress how to display the information within the shortcode.

HOW TO WORK WITH SHORTCODE

The shortcode has already been set up for you, so you don’t need to worry about knowing any special coding. You just need to edit the content WITHIN the shortcode. The shortcode can vary per theme – ask us for specific details of your theme and we can give you the exact coding. But basically, the shortcode is relatively the same – and appears within brackets [ ]. The easiest way to think of it is – only edit the text between the shortcodes!

E.g. [custom-facebookfeed]
