Using the Toolbar to edit your pages

THE HELP! FILES

1. HOW TO EDIT YOUR PAGES

Login to your dashboard, and click on Pages. You will then see a list of the pages of your website. To edit any of these pages, click on the page title – for example, to edit the Home page of your website, click on the home link.

2. USING THE TOOLBAR TO EDIT YOUR WEBSITE TEXT

You can edit the content of your pages as easily as using Microsoft Word – using the same sort of toolbar at the top of the page.  You just highlight the text you want to edit, and choose the tool that you want to use (Eg. Bold, underline, text colour, etc).

If you only see one line of the toolbar, click on the 2nd last icon (called the kitchen sink or Toolbar Toggle) and this shows the next line of tools, which allows you to easily bold, underline, change text colour, etc.  If you can see 2 lines of the toolbar (same as below), then you are ready to go!

*** note:  if you hover over any of the menu items in the tool bar, it will tell you what function they preform.

3. SAVE YOUR EDITS!

wordpressOnce you have finished editing your webpage, you need to save your edits by publishing the page. You can Preview Changes before making the new edits live to double check your work. Once you are satisfied, click the blue Update button, and your edits are now live!
